NSM wins the 2023 Outstanding State Enterprise Award on Social Responsibility and Environment

Asst.Prof. Rawin Raviwongse, President of National Science Museum Thailand (NSM) and NSM executives received a 2023 Outstanding Sate Enterprise Award on Social Responsibility and Environment, held by State Enterprise Policy Office, on January 31, 2024 at Santi Maitri Building, Government House. Mr.Krisada Chinavicharana, Deputy Minister of Finance was chairman of the awarding ceremony. 

Asst. Prof. Rawin Raviwongse said “ the award is a pride of all NSM members who have hard devoted themselves to missions of driving the Thai society towards a society of science and innovation. NSM has operated its missions under the concept of social and environmental responsibility, both activities arranging within NSM and outsides as well as CSR (corporate social responsibility) activities for social benefits using science contexts to create learning experiences for youth in remote areas or lacking opportunities, for example, the Science Against Drugs Project. The activities aim to inspire youth and raise awareness, especially on science, technology, and innovation (STI). The inspiration can be further developed to be an “creative power” for promoting better quality of life of the people in the future.”  

The 2023 Outstanding Sate Enterprise Award on Social Responsibility and Environment will be a motivation for NSM to continue its missions related STI to the Thai society. NSM will create more sources of scientific learning that are attractive, amusing, linked with daily life, inspiring, and easily accessible for the Thai people, contributing to a better quality of life and sustainability.
