NSM and SCISOC Backup Thai Youth Team to Join REGENERON ISEF 2023, USA

On May 11, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Dr.ThanatKhun Mongkol Asawarat, president, The Science Society of Thailand under the Royal Patronage (SCISOC) and National Science Museum (NSM) Board came to encourage and saw off a Thai youth team participating in the REGENERON ISEF 2024 held during May 11-17, 2024 in Los Angeles, California, U.S.A. Dr.Chanintorn Wannawijit, NSM vice president also joined the trip. There were young scientist teams from 75 countries joined in the REGENERON ISEF 2024; widely known as the biggest science arena of the world.

Asst.Prof.Dr.Rawin Raviwongse, NSM president said “Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) by NSM, National Science and Technology Development Agency, National Research Council of Thailand and SCISSOC have supported a selected Thai youth team from 15 teams, to join a competition of science and engineering project in the  REGENERON ISEF 2024.  Having seen that the members of the team were determined and devoted themselves in practicing for the competition, I would like to encourage them to do the best in this event.  The Thai people can follow the competition and cheer up the Thai team at Facebook: NSMThailand or observe the opening ceremony on May 14^th in the U.S.A. on YouTube: SocietyforScience.”

Ms.Suppamas Issaraphakdi, minister of MHESI also delivered her strong word of encouragement, “May the Thai youth team does the best, their effort will be definitely lead to success. I wish the Thai team will be able to create works and fame to Thailand. I wish the team will gain some knowledge back for further development.”

Assoc. Prof. Dr.ThanatKhun said “the selection of the Thai youth team this year concluded from many national competitions, for example, the 19^th National Young Scientist Camp, the 23^rd Thailand Innovation Award 2023, the 26^th Young Scientist Project Contest (YSC 2024), the25th Thailand Computer Program Development (NSC2023), etc. I wish to deliver my encouragement to do the best, and hope that the projects which they developed will be able to win awards.”
