NSM Joins Hand Chiang Mai Night Safari to Develop Science, Environment and Wildlife

To foster and develop knowledge of science, environment, wildlife and biodiversity, Asst.Prof.Dr.Rawin Raviwongse, president, National Science Museum (NSM) has announced a collaboration between NSM and Chiang Mai Night Safari ,on January 15, 2025, at Ruen Waree Khunchorn, Chiang Mai Night Safari. The aim is to cultivate and inspire young generation on worth and consequence of nature and organisms, and let them have an amusement from amazing discovery of natural science. Mr.Krisada Lapimol, deputy director and director of central administration office, has signed an MOU of collaboration, on behalf of Ms.Thitirat Tawanwong, director, Chiang Mai Night Safari and act for president of Pinknakorn Development Agency. In the ceremony, Mr.Suwarong Wongsiri, vice president of NSM, Mr.Phumipat Prombuth, director of animal management, Chiang Mai Night Safari has also joined in.

Prof. Rawin said “NSM’s mission is to encourage the Thai society employs science for country development, cultivate and transfer knowledge to young generation and people to have positive attitude towards science, technology, and innovation. It also plays roles as research center on natural science and biodiversity. The MOU between Pinknakorn Development Agency (Public Organization) and NSM will, therefore empower exchanging resources and expertise of both organizations together for developing attractive learning resources in Chiang Mai and other northern provinces. The collaboration, in parallel, will support transferring of science, technology, environment, wildlife and biodiversity. The young generation are conditioned and inspired to understand the significance of nature through exhibitions and extracurricular activities, and discover an amazing of natural science. In addition, the collaboration will develop science communicators for delivering an awareness of environmental science effectively.”

Mr.Krisada Lapimol, deputy director and director of central administration office said “Chiang Mai Night Safar, a leading organization of Chiang Mai,  has been run and overseen by Pinknakorn Development Office, to be an attractive and learning resource of nature and wildlife. Normally, it has encouraged and inspired youth groups and people on wildlife conservation through research and studying. The collaboration will support the earnestness of both organizations to create learning resources and sustainable learning society through exchanging resources, information, and expertise by further improving projects and activities related to science, technology, environment, and wildlife effectively.”
