Thai Youth Wins the Third in 2025 ASEAN Water Rocket Competition

Dr.Ganigar Chen, vice president of National Science Museum (NSM) with Mr.Ihsan Surur head of Exhibition Division Indonesian Science Center (ISC) Dr.Khamphouth Phommasone, director of the School for Gifted and Ethnic Students, and Dr.Chanintorn Wannawichitra, NSM vice president, have joined the congratulating and awarding awards ceremony of 2025 ASEAN Water Rocket competition, on February 2, 2025 at Rama 9 Museum, NSM, Klong 5, Klong Luang, Pathum Thani province. The competition has been held by integrating STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) skills with an inspiration of learning space science for future development.  Indonesian students have hold the 1st place and 2nd place in accuracy category, while Chanachai Pimmeelai, Nakorn Srilumduan Witthaya School, Si Sa Ket province has received the 3rd place with average record of 0.93 meters.

Dr.Ganigar delivered her congratulations to the Thai and ASEAN youth who received awards, and admired their potentials, dedication and creativity for this tournament. She expected that the competition would stimulate an inspiration among ASEAN youth groups in developing themselves with science and technology skills, and would apply this inspiration towards daily lives effectively.

Ms.Nazifa Almeira Yasa,  MTsN 2 Bandar Lampung School, Indonesia won the first place with record of 0.11 meter. 
Mr. Muhammad Siraaj Mufiid Firdaus, SMP Negeri 6 Yogyakarta School, Indonesia won the second place with record of 0.09 meter. 
For Thailand, Mr. Chanachai Pimmeelai, Nakorn Srilumduan Witthaya School, Si Sa Ket province, won the 3rd place. He said that he felt proud of joining the game, as a big ASEAN arena. He has practiced hard for the match, and felt pleased with the prize as the first step of achievement and future development. He also recommended that practicing and learning through trial and error are essential in improving skill and technique for determining the range of water rocket. 

ด้าน นายชนะชัย พิมพ์มีลาย จาก รร.นครศรีลำดวนวิทยา จ.ศรีสะเกษ “อย่างแรกตนรู้สึกภูมิใจที่ได้เข้าร่วมในการแข่งขันครั้งนี้ เพราะถือว่าเป็นเวทีที่ยิ่งใหญ่ในระดับอาเซียน และรู้สึกดีใจที่ได้รับรางวัลในครั้งนี้ ตนได้ทุ่มเทฝึกซ้อมอย่างเต็มที่เพื่อการแข่งขันครั้งนี้ การฝึกฝนและเรียนรู้ด้วยการลองผิดลองถูกเป็นสิ่งสำคัญในการพัฒนาเทคนิคพิเศษสำหรับการกำหนดระยะการเคลื่อนที่ของจรวดขวดน้ำ ถึงแม้จะได้อันดับที่ 3 ก็ถือว่าเป็นก้าวแรกแห่งความสำเร็จและการพัฒนาต่อไปในอนาคต”
