Deputy Prime Minister Prasert Congratulated Winning Thai Youth Teams: ISEF 2025 World Science Fair, Bringing Pride to Thailand

Mr.Prasert Chantarawongthong, Deputy Prime Minister congratulated the winning Thai Youth teams awarded world youth science and engineering project competition from the REGENERON ISEF 2025, (the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair, Columbus Ohio, USA.), on September 10, 2025 at Blue Room, Santi Maitri Building, the Government House. Ms.Sunee Lertpienthum, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) and executives: Dr.Ganigar Chen, Vice President, National Science Museum (NSM), Dr.Worawarong Rakreundet, Vice President, National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), Assoc.Prof.Thanuttkhul Mongkolaussavarat, President, the Science Society of Thailand Under the Patronage of the King (SCISOC), Ms.Siriporn Deautrakul, Deputy Director, National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), Dr.Krithpaka Boonfueng, Executive Director, National Innovation Agency (NIA), and Ms.Thanaporn Phongparit, Social Activity Project Manager, Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) participated the meeting.

The winning Thai youth teams comprises: 2 teams from Khon Kean University Demonstration School (Modin Daeng), 2 teams from Mahidol Wittayanusorn School, Nakhon Pathom, 2 teams from Prince Royal’s College, Ching Mai, 2 teams from Kamnoetvidy Science Academy, Rayong, 2 teams from Bangkok Christian College, Bangkok, and 2 teams from Damrongrat Songkroh School, Chiang Rai.  Deputy Prime Minister Prasert Chantarawongthong complimented the success of the Thai youth teams who won 11 awards. He addressed the achievement has reflected the abilities, determination, and creativity of the Thai youth teams in the competition, and the recognition in the international arena. The achievement is not only an honor for the teams, but also symbolizes the potential of the Thai education system and strong cooperation between the government, educational institutions, and national science organizations that are working together to create the opportunity to showcase the Thai youth teams on the international stages. Mr.Prasert also urged the youth teams use this success as a driving force for further development and broader benefits of Thailand in the future.

Ms. Sunee Lertpienthum, MHESI Deputy Permanent Secretary said “This year, MHESI by NSM, NSTDA, NRCT in collaboration with SCISOC have supported the 14 Thai youth teams to join the REGENERON ISEF 2025. The achievement of these Thai teams is a source of pride for the youth and all organizations supporting them due to their outstanding performance in science projects. They received 8 Grand Awards and 3 Special Awards or 11 awards in total, in the areas: animal science, science and environment, translational medical science, physics and astronomy, chemistry, biochemistry and technology for promotion of arts.

She addressed “MHESI is committed to supporting the further development of these youth projects so that they can be applied practically to solve problems in daily life, improve quality of life and boost the national economy. This will ultimately enhance Thailand’s competitiveness on the global economy with sustainability.”
