“5 D Mixed Reality Experience” Exhibit and “Hidden Paradise” Activity Ready for Five Senses Challenge at NSM

D.D.S. Sriyada Palimaphan, advisor to Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) presided over an exhibition on “5D Mixed Reality Experience” and “Hidden Paradise” activity, on March 10, 2026 at Rama 9 Museum, National Science Museum NSM), Khlong Lung, Khlong 5, Prathum Thani Province. Mr.Suwarong Wongsiri, Acting President of NSM, executives of NSM and other organizations, and school students joined in the ceremony.  

D.D.S. Sriyada said “science, technology and innovation are crucial drivers for propelling the country towards the future. MHESI has prioritized the application of innovation to improve quality of life, enhance learning, and strengthen workforces ready to adapt to the changes of globalized economy. The use of “5 D Mixed Reality” in museums creates a new platform of learning that not only provides captivating and accessible learning experiences, but also reflects the transition to digital learning society. This opens opportunities for youth and the public to access knowledge equally and concretely enhances future skills. Meanwhile, the “Hidden Paradise” activity can be another example of using science and technology to raise awareness of the environment, sustainability, and biodiversity which are fundamental to developing a balanced and sustainable Thai society.”

After the opening, D.D.S. Sriyada observed the 5 D cinema show in desert zone, which combines virtual reality technology with special effects through 3 D glasses. She also watched the movie “the Adventures of Fox”, an exploration of the world’s seven biomes and, giving the feeling of being on an adventure herself. Then, she visited the “Mixed Reality Journey” zone to experience a new way of exploring museums with Mixed Reality technology and “RokidMax Pro” glasses, which transformed every step into a breathtaking virtual experience through 30 key points within Rama 9 Museum.

In addition, she visited “Hidden Paradise: Nature’s Creation, a Heaven on Earth”, which tells the story of micro-ecosystems and biodiversity around us through various creative learning spaces. It comprises five zones: Hidden Home-exploring the homes and hiding places of creatures in the garden; Hidden Life-learning about the interconnected small lives in the ecosystem around the house; Hidden Sound-listening to the sounds of nature and livings in the garden; Hidden Clues-observing the traces, patterns, and behaviors of living things; and Hidden Diary-recording nature, encouraging observation, sight, sound, smell, touch, and recording in one’s own way. The event also features an exhibit on “Rama 9 Springtail” or in scientific name 𝐴𝑙𝑙𝑜𝑠𝑐𝑜𝑝𝑢𝑠 𝑟𝑎𝑚𝑎𝑛𝑖 sp. nov., a newly discovered species of insect, first found by NSM research team, Thaksin University, and Prince of Songkla Universiyt.

After the shows, D.D.S.Sriyada gave an interview and invited to visit those activities at Rama 9 Museums. She said the activities offer a complete sensory experience: sight, taste, smell, and touch with cutting -edge and fun exhibits and activities. She encouraged students and people to visit because of both fun and education. 

The “5 D Mixed Reality Experience” exhibit and “Hidden Paradise’ activity are now open at Rama 9 Museum, NSM, Khlong Lung, Khlong 5, Pathum Thani Province.
