Dr.Ganigar Chen, vice president, National Science Museum (NSM) has joined a press conference of BKK Ranger Festival which chaired by Mr.Chadchart Sittipunt, Bangkok governor. Mr. Sanon Wansrangboon, deputy governor of Bangkok and allied organizations have also joined the press at the 8th FL, Thanee Noparat Building, BMA Bangkok City Hall, Din Daeng.
Dr. Ganigar, during the conference, said, “NSM is pleased to have a collaboration with BMA again after the organizing of Bangkok Withaya Festival in August which received good feedback from the audience. The Youth and Children Festival or “BKK Ranger: Joining the Forces of Youth Thinkers” to be held in September is expected to create more joyful activities to children and youth in Bangkok. In this occasion, NSM has provided a variety of activities under the theme “Inspired by Teens 2022”
to empower the youth thinkers for sustainable life and society. The activities will encourage the youth’s interest and inspiration with joyful scientific learning activities in order to expand their science and technology skills for innovative creativity which respond to future needs. The audience will immerse themselves in amazing science through many varieties of science games, etc. Those activities are, for instance:
- SiT Talks Competition: Science Inspired by Teen 2022: the final round of a 3 minutes science talk with a science play how to conserve water resources and sea, and an exhibition showing on aging society and disability will be held during September 26-October 2, 2022 at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.
- Sharing fun science media created by NSM to 34 Bangkok Learning Libraries.
- A Youth Forum of Environment and Biodiversity will be held at NSM Science Square, the Street Ratchada Bangkok, and Bangkok Learning Libraries to stimulate our youth to share ideas and persuade the society to think how to change and develop the better Bangkok communities
Dr.Ganigar added “those selective activities offered by NSM are expected that our youth will release their imagination and will increase inspiration as well as science, technology, innovation and environment knowledge and skills. The activities will prepare them for future careers and learning development.”
