NSM and Chumpot-Phantip Foundtaion Launch “Nature of Wang Takrai National Park, Vol 1” to Expand Research Proficiency and Inspire New Generation in Conserving Nature

National Science Museum (NSM) and Chumpot-Phantip Foundtaion have introduced a new book; “Nature of Wang Takrai National Park, Volume 1”, a compilation of knowledge in natural science and biodiversity in the areas of Wang Ta Krai National Park. The book aims to present and transfer values of natural resources to public. Mr.Suwarong Wongsiri, Acting President of NSM and Assoc.Prof. Dr. M.L. Pinitbhand Paribatra, committee of the Foundation opened the book launch ceremony with Dr.Ganigar Chen, NSM Vice President, executives, academics and staff from both organizations on June 15, 2026 at Wang Ta Krai Park, Nakhon Nayok Province.

Search for the Best Young Space Innovators: Thailand CANSAT-ROCKET Competition 2026 Final Round

Phatum Thani/June 11, 2026 Ms.Sirirat Sermvitoon, Vice President, National Science Museum (NSM) and Gen. Charat Oumsomrit, Ph.D., General-Director, Defense Technology Institute (DTI) opened Thailand CANSAT-ROCKET Competition 2026 which has been consecutively held in the 10th year by NSM, DTI and Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA). The Competition was held during June 11-14, 2026 at NSM Khlong 5 and Nava Special Warfare Royal Thai Fleet, Sattahip, Chon Buri Province. It aimed to elevate skills of science and space technology in designing and initiation of small satellites or CANSAT and rocket among students in high schools.

Sriyada Palimaphan, advisor to Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) presided over an exhibition on “5D Mixed Reality Experience” and “Hidden Paradise” activity, on March 10, 2026 at Rama 9 Museum, National Science Museum NSM), Khlong Lung, Khlong 5, Prathum Thani Province. Mr.Suwarong Wongsiri, Acting President of NSM, executives of NSM and other organizations, and school students joined in the ceremony.

Amazing Thai Students Sweep 6 Awards at REGENERATION ISEF 2026 Prince Royal’s College Wins the First Place in Biomedical Engineering

Ministry Of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) by National Science Museum (NSM) and The Science Society of Thailand Under the Patronage of HM the King (SCISOC) supported 8 youth teams from Thailand to compete against youth teams from 60 countries, or totaling approximately 18,00 students, in the REGENERON ISEF 2026 (Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair, during May 9-15, 2026, held by Society for Science, at Phoenix, Arizona, U.S.A. In this competition, Prince Royal’s College, Chiang Mai won the first place with the project “An Automated Malaria Diagnostic System Using Artificial Intelligence and A Low-Cost Smart Microscope for Remote Areas” in Biomedical Engineering. The project presented innovation to detect all five major malaria strains, enabling rapid and accurate diagnosis, with friendly, portable, and significantly reducing testing time. The Thai youth teams also brought back a prestigious honour by winning a total of 6 awards, including 3 grand awards and 3 special awards, with a total value of US$12,300 (approx. 401,964 Thai Baht).

NSM Partners with The Street Ratchada to Launch “the 5th Science Square Festival”

National Science Museum (NSM) joined hands with the Street Ratchada Lifestyle Mall, Bangkok, to organize “the 5th Science Square Festival” during the Songkran Festival, April 10-16, 2026, 10:00 a.m.-07:00 p.m. The festival offered children and youth on an adventure with a theme “Mission Res-Q” or “trainee hero mission: survive the crisis”. The visitors learned and achieved challenging, fun and creative missions related science, technology and innovation activities.

Youth Social Volunteer: 3rd Batch of Creative Summer Break Project By NSM

Ms. Sitirat Sermwithoon, Vice President, National Science Museum (NSM) opened an orientation of “Youth Social Volunteer: 3rd Batch of Creative Summer Break” held by NSM, on April 2, 2026 at Rama 9 Museum, Khlong 5, Khlong Luang, Pathum Thani. She made an introductory remark about roles and activities of NSM as a learning resource of science, technology and innovation to the 142 high-school students participated in the project.
