Plug-in

Plug-in คือ ซอฟท์แวร์เสริมสำหรับโปรแกรมหรือซอฟท์แวร์เดิมที่มีอยู่แล้วในเว็บเบราว์เซอร์ (web browser) เพื่อเพิ่มความสามารถของโปรแกรมให้ทำงานได้หลากหลายหรือมีประสิทธิภาพมากยิ่งขึ้น 
ตัวอย่าง plug-in เช่น Adobe Flash Player, Adobe Reader, Java, QuickTime เป็นต้น
