A Science Caravan Project of 2023 has been launched by National Science Museum (NSM) on November 22-25, 2022 at Khoksamrong Witthaya School, Lopburi. A group of youth has been invited to enjoy science exhibitions and fun activities and got inspiration of the amaze of science. The caravan will further move to other provinces in regions to extend scientific learning and experience of youth and people.
Asst.Prof.Dr.Rawin Ravivongse, director, NSM said “a mission of NSM is to promote learning and experience in science, technology and innovation with science exhibitions and activities for youth and people living in the regional and central parts of Thailand. To date, NSM has realized the limitation of access to scientific knowledge of youth in outreach areas, it has therefore provided “NSM Science Caravan” for them since the year 2005 with 6.6 millions of audiences. In the 2023 project, NSM has launched its first caravan at Khoksamrong Witthaya School, Lopburi during November 22-25, 2022. The aim is to inspire and give experience of the wonder of science through hands-on science exhibitions and fun activities. Besides releasing themselves in the exhibitions, the youth can apply and solve their daily problems with science and grown-up to be qualified people of the country.”
NSM, this year, has fully prepared a variety of enjoyable and amazing science exhibitions, for example, hands-on exhibits of science fun ( play and find out answers yourself in hands-on media with science projects of 6 colours and 6 issues), science show (get excited and fun with sounds show), science laboratory (with the project of “clear and not infection” and “follow footsteps of detectives” to increase thinking process and skills of using lab equipment, Science Games & Toys ( challenge your ideas and imagination with games and inventions of waste materials, Planetarium (so into learning of constellation and 3 dimensions film of astronomy in full dome), Enjoy Maker Space (release your imagination to create innovation or new invention with STEM approach), Enjoy Science Careers (invite the audience to find out their career skills by testing and taking roles play of future science professionals, as well as many other fun science games and activities in our caravan taking place nationwide.
